Managing documents, updates, and communication with us shouldn’t feel like a second job. Seaport utilizes a secure portal, powered by TaxDome, to make this process easy.

In the portal, you can:

  • View, sign, & download your tax returns

  • Upload & send documents to your tax team

  • View & update bank information on file

  • Complete your annual tax organizer

  • View & edit a personalized checklist of the tax documents needed to complete your tax returns

  • Scan documents directly into the portal using the mobile app

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • If you have signed in before and are now unable to, we recommend resetting your password using the “Forgot password“ button.

    If you are still having difficulties, please reach out to the Clients Team at clients@seaportpartners.com, or by calling (781) 899 - 1118. We will be able to confirm the email assigned to your login, reset your password, and temporarily disable multi-factor authentication.

  • Our client portal host (TaxDome) now requires all clients to use MFA (multi-factor authentication) for sign in. A code will be sent to the same email used to log in. If you are using a personal device, you can check the box to “Remember this device", then a code will only be required once every 30 days.

    If we have your mobile phone number on file, you can have an SMS code sent instead. If your phone number is not on file you will see an error message with an option to contact the firm.

    The Clients Team is able to temporarily disable MFA if there is an issue receiving a code, but it will be turned back on automatically after the initial login. Please reach out to Clients@seaportpartners.com‍ with any issues or questions.

  • If you are having issues signing a document, please reach out to Clients@seaportpartners.com or by calling the Clients Team at (781) 899- 1118.

    We will be able to confirm where the document is (if you have multiple entities), which email it is assigned to, and if there are any technical issues.

    Please note if signatures are required by multiple people (ex. spouses), you will not be able to see their outstanding signature fields. When the other person signs, then you will be able to see their completed signatures.

  • Tax returns completed by Seaport Tax can be found in the Docs section of your portal, within the folder structure:

    Client Deliverables > [Tax Year]

    In the menu at the top of your portal, the Docs section will be the second option from the left.

  • At the start of the tax season (mid- to late January), an electronic tax organizer will be sent to your portal. The organizer will collect pertinent information to get started on your returns. At the end of the organizer there will be a checklist of all the items needed to complete your returns. You will be able to upload any items you have available within that list and include notes for items you will upload later or that are no longer relevant for this tax year.

    If you would like a paper copy of the organizer mailed to you, please reach out to Clients@seaportpartners.com.

  • We include a list in your client portal of all the tax documents need to complete your returns. [WHERE IS IT] This list will also be sent to you in the form of a checklist within the portal, called a client request.

    You will be notified when a client request list is sent to you in the portal and you can check off items as they are uploaded. These lists can also be sent to clients directly via email.
