2025 NEW YORK TAX ESTIMATE INSTRUCTIONS
To make a NY estimated tax payment electronically, you will first need to create an online account with the NY Department of Taxation: Click Here to Create an Account
Once the account is created, you can follow these instructions to make the payment:
Select “Tax Online Services” in the middle of the page under “You have access to the following services”
If “Tax Online Services” does not appear, scroll down and search for it under “You can sign up for the following services”
Select “Services” in the top left corner of the page, next to “Account Summary”
Then, select “Payments, bills and notices”
Then, select “Make a payment” where you will be transferred to a new screen
On the new screen, choose “Pay estimated tax”
For “Quarter”, choose the appropriate tax quarter
Allocate the entire amount NY State
Follow instructions for processing the payment by bank electronic debit or credit card
